Thoughts in the Dark ...

Time flies ... have been in Sweden one month already , busy with planning for the upcoming season of celebrations , will be doing some kitchen work, so thanks god my back is soo much better ... but I am down on my mat doing stretch after stretch every day like the energetic Virgo girl I typically am ... never give up !

Am also pointing myself in the direction of even more healthy and environment friendly eating , I also have to try to build some muscles in order to keep my back straight Xxx

These are the good sources of protein I will concentrate on :

Spinach

Sundried tomatoes

Artichokes

Peas

Salmon

Tuna

Eggs

Beans & Lentils

Whole grain bread

Peanut butter , I love peanuts and was happy to read that they can prevent some kinds of common heart diseases .. unsalted of course !

Gruyere cheese & Feta cheese

Greek yoghurt

Almonds - Pepitas or Pumpkin seeds , but of course there will be some types of meat proteins from time to time on the plates ... keep in mind though that to much of a good thing .. an excess of proteins will lead to a storage of fat or even worse kidney damage , how much you need depends on your weight 1.2 - 1.7 grams per kilogram , I always thought that 55-60 g. of proteins was enough for me but it seems like I need 74 g. The muscles also need carbohydrates & good fat , here comes my bananas , oats and avocado on rye in first on the list even chocolate plus other fruits are good muscle building food a couple of hours before your exercises or after ...

We are in the middle of the darkest period of the year here in Sweden ... so fill your home with fresh air , green plants , flowers and candles everywhere ... flowers are said to reduce stress , boost your memory and like lavender even help you sleep better, plus they are lovely to look at ... also let the few hours of day light in .. open up all the curtains & keep calm , less than a month now to winter solstice !!

Well folks , no recipes only some ideas and thoughts .. how to do the best of our lifes .. since no man of my liking wants to spend some time with me .. I might get myself a dog a lovely furry friend who will be happy to see me all the time every day ... but the thing is that I also want to travel .. probably have to think it over a little more Xxx
