Back with my back ...
This is a , kind of very , very .. delayed post ... I had in mind to keep you updated at least one time a week .. but you see there was no way I could do that ...because crazy enough I got a horrible burst of sciatica .. the day my daughter left Myconos , me and Kiki did a slow walk in the company of another gal , she slightly hanging on my arm .. all through the streets of Myconos town in order to reach the Town Hall for the opening of an art exhibition held by old friends .. two days later I left for Tinos and had some nagging issues with my back .. they got worse , in fact really bad .. and I did of course start a lot of stretches , which I did learn later from Physiotherapist Maria was totally wrong .. so wrong that I had to live through the worst pain in my life ....so Maria did forbade me to sit for long periods I even had to eat in a vertical position .. and honestly writing a blog post was the last thing on my mind ... any way am now back in Sweden after a flight to London standing up xxx and no sitting around in London at small lovely coffe shops or restaurants no no .. eating standing and walking then a new flight back home from London getting up every half an hour .. I mean you could laugh everything was completely stupid .. again because of my own stretching ideas ... So am now in the hands of Maud my Swedish chiropractor .. and walking myself crazy , but I am a lot better .. joyfully enough !
Meanwhile me and daughter are living in the same space ... she came back 3 months earlier from Greece and declared herself finished with it all ... so she was in fact in my little apartment when I came back , hers is rented till the beginning of December ... so happy together ... xxx
We have absolutely beautiful weather at the moment , and I am in good spirit , wonderful colourful walks , some small exercises and incorporating a lot of Ayurvedic food and drinks in my daily routine .. golden latte , just love it .. as in very good healing of my body - mindful eating comes up as number 1 , so good for us all , this brainboosting food which I dearly love , like my avocados - broccoli - walnuts - turmeric - water - berries ..
We are also battling against dry skin .. very dry , when you change from humid october Greece to high dry Swedish air outside and even more dry air inside because the heating is on .. you feel like paper all over .. so a number of oils & creams are used at the moment .. for me personally this is totally ok .. since we are slowly sliding into the season of rest - snuggle up - light a candle - read .... brew some tea or bake a cake .. listen to music from your yonger years - put vases of flowers everywhere - dance like no one is watching - help someone - listen to the birds - watch the sunrise ..
Must say that I have had a blessed and beautiful September & October in Greece , memorable moments with dear old friends , couldnt be better , and because I was in Greece also in April , I have had half a year of summer .. such a lucky mermaid .. who came back up north just in time for the winter season to start with all its parties and celebrations , getting together both at work and elsewhere .. time to dig out those work shoes again and I simply love it ... no time to get bored or over think .. just do my thing !!
We are moving towards the darkest time of the year here , where I am at the moment , and I hear every day people around me blurt out .. that they cant cope with it , they feel depressed by it , they need light .. I do understand that it must be stressing to have these feelings .. which I luckily do not have .. I must be completely boring as I just go along with it .. or to many other things takes up my thoughts , like what to cook xxx !! For me it is like this " keep on walking " whatever the situation , dark months in Sweden or heatwaves in Greece .... walk through it .. it will pass .. and as always what we eat .. can help .. you choose already at the brakfast table how your mood will be for the rest of the day .. a banana gets your blood sugar up which is the same as your mood or , you can choose to level up the serotonin by eating a breakfast with starch like oats .. serotonin might make you a bit happier or take my example chocolate euphoria .. chocolate solves all problems
So be your kindest best version of yourself , happy thoughts , smile , sing , hug , love yes love ...
