Island girl

After more than two weeks at the beautiful but very different Greek islands Tinos and Mykonos in the best company of old friends and my daughter I am sitting on the terrace quite alone looking out at the spectacular old view of Mykonos harbour with a coffee next to me and it is all really wonderful to be alone with my thoughts ...  while Irida was here on Myconos for a week we tried to do as much as possible , well she was last at Myconos when she was 6 years old .. back then we were here all the summer and she had swimming lessons at Myconos Bay by the owners daughter .... so much have changed since then ...I still love Myconos but maybe more off season  ... as a simple person with a “ Hippie “ character it has honestly become too crazy ... but I have to come , and enjoy the company of my friends , or just bump in to somebody in the streets you haven’t seen for 30 years .... fun and relaxing .. just love it !

Am off for a quiet long weekend at Tinos tomorrow .. pampering myself with greens , stretches , long walks or running in the sea plus some reading .. and look up the places dear Katy F  did recommend the other night .. so much to look forward to ..

Monday darling Enid will pop over to Tinos from Aegina and we will be well looked after by her old friend A who has been living on Tinos for some 40 years or more ....    we do have some other  known people at Tinos to look up if they’re there ... such lucky girls !!

 Anyway I still find my old ways and people to make me happy .. you just have to block out “ some “ obstacles and try to look at it from the bright side  , things change here and at Gotland to the better or worse .. you tell me ... life is full of new surprises or it’s probably progress !!

 Old habits die hard ..

My darling daughter is half Greek and she did enjoy to walk my old paths also to talk to mummy’s oldies goldies 

I do have an urge for some cooking all of the sudden so will probably play around a little in the kitchen at Tinos  .. like a slow  cooking weekend just for me , before we hit the tavernas next week up in the small villages on Tinos.

That’s all for this time , some travel info from my autumn island trip ... will have some new thoughts to share soon and we will save all the Food ideas for the winter ....  when there’s little else to do than eat - laugh and cook  or ....

So be well and have fun me myself will go for a swim in the Mediterranean Sea and dream a little ..
