Dancing in the dark ..
I received a phone call from my daughter yesterday afternoon from Athens ... she was crying in the other end ... a man in his best years, who she has been working with since Cooking School , had died from a heart attack , so sad ... he left 2 small children and he was a charming and nice man also an excellent chef , I did meet him several times ....
I honestly got so distressed from that call .... so I started eat chocolate and drinking cognac , to relax myself , I also told Irida that I would pay for her ticket if she wanted to come up and pay her respects .. she was really fond of that guy and he loved to work with her .. what a loss !
All around me people are dying or catching heavy diagnoses .. one of my oldest friends was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of months back ... and another with prostata cancer .. he had surgery just a week ago .. .. no , no I am not going to do a totally depressing post ... but I really , really want to urge everyone to do medical check ups , and to be attentive to small or big changes out of the ordinary .. because you should know your body best of all !!
And we have to live our lifes the best we can ... no things to regret , that we never did them .. dont you think .. my daughter even said that , crying in the other end of the line ..
Random acts of kindness is the best for yourself and the ones around you , and so easy to give , like small gifts ...
Listen to somebody who needs to talk ...
Help someone over the street or to find their way ....
Flowers to your neighbour ....
Kindness works like ... chocolate , kokain or sex for the brain ... excellent or ...
As I am in a strange mood Queen , Janis Joplin & Stealers Wheel .. is singing for me and it suits me fine .. with that kind of music my mind goes back to fullmoon parties at Panormous ....

Well I pray for your understanding ... that there will be no recipes or food talk today , havent been cooking dont feel like eating ... I went out for a Semla ... as it is Fettisdagen , whoa .. 47 days until Easter in Sweden & thats when I leave for Greece and Greek Easter , which I love !
Dance , laugh , cook , hug , kiss , love and most important live ....
