Soft & Sweet

I dont know if I can do this .. was my thought a month back .. but now I am done , I did it... what did I do ? Well me and my body .. at least one of my arms .. my right , very , very overworked during the years .. arm , did survive some hectic weeks in the hotel kitchen .. but every day after work , zen music on , yoga mat out .. plus some new stretches I have learned especially for shoulders and arms .. also I stuffed myself with a lot of salmon & avocados , all that good fat , and turmeric pills oh and of course early nights with a lot of sleep !!!

But it is time for some acupuncture sessions at Dr. Nie ... the Chinese lady who is fantastic with her needles ... am going a week in the end of January , to refresh myself !!

Then I will be able to see a bunch of old friends also , since I will be in Stockholm !!

I also have some places that I go back to in my mind to make me rest ...while breathing , and they are all connected to the sea ... I am after all an island girl who have spent half of her life on islands ... cant help myself , just love them , guess I am attracted to the feeling of to be totally cut off ........

Little me is in my own kitchen today .. yes very happy about that , and I am preparing some small Greek nibbles plus Melomakarona Greek Christmas cakes to bring for the Christmas table at Susanne who is married to a Greek , who believe it or not ...has been working at Montparnasse - Myconos , he also happens to be a friend with Mikalis Marmarinos , who went to Teatroteknis school in Athens with my X...... and yes Marmarinos is from Aegina ...... it is really a small world ..... !!

So we will be some friends with strings to Greece , since also Lotti and her family are coming , I know her from Athens when my daughter was little ...

It will be nice to spend Christmas Eve in their company and in the company of comforting food , laughs and our children .. my daughter Irida & Theodora , Susannes daughter has become good friends , they are the same age .... Lotti have 2 beautiful twingirls some years yonger , I will try to be brave and happy even if .... 1 week after

this beautiful eve I have to take Irida to the airport shuttle and off she will go to Greece !

It is now late afternoon and already dark ... but a wonderful fullmoon has come out , big and bright .. I have spent my day in the kitchen , preparing what I could while listening to Miles Davis ... my oven is full of cookies , lovely Greek ones , they have to be hidden there until Monday ... I also made some Cheese balls , just mixing 3 different kinds of cheese and I will roll them in chive & rose pepper later , tomorrow I will make my huge chocolate bark ......small Christmas chores and honestly thats enough ...... as I say keep it classy & simple , we have to spend our time living , not live our lifes without living !!!!

This was just another post ... without recipes .. yes I know , I am terrible but in a nice way ... after the holidays there will be so much time to create new plates and dishes ...
