Agape !

New Year , new resolutions .....now we have to get changed , get renewed & get better on what .... like a magical power the old is finished and something new much better will start .. we hope , yes but the one who will change the things around is still you , and believe me it is better done one step at a time , so go slowly with your changes and they will stick to you much easier !!

Agape is a greek word for love , it is one of six greek words for love and it means selfless love ... or universal loving kindness , something that is in dangerous decline in many countries the last 40 years .... we simply do not care any more ... we need to revive that !!

The other five greek words for love is : Eros , Philia , Ludus , Pragma and Philautia .

In order too be able too care and love more , you have too love yourself , so take care of you and what you stand for , me and many of my friends are Mappies it stands for Mature Affluent Pioneering People.

Be what you are and have fun , travel , take care of your health and try new things , I am a true believer in Ayurveda , and is fond of their kitchen and cooking techniques , I also think that the idea of what to eat and not to eat after 50 is to recommend , we have to understand that the gut either makes us happy or not .

How many goes on to live with inflamed skin , bloating , fatique & food sensitvities ....?

Hippocrates said : " All disease begins in the gut "

As we are in the middle of the winter , with not so much sunshine maybe , it is quite important to give some thought to vitamine D ... do you get enough ... it is important for your bone health , cold prevention even to fight depression ...

here is some ways to add it in your diet , fatty fish , mushrooms , eggs , fortified foods like rice milk , yoghurt & orange juice !

Another thing that came too my mind is wellness has nothing to do with size .... positive body image , yes what is that ... for me personally it is to be able to stretch , bend down , get up from lying on the floor or stand on one leg ... not to be exhausted and out of breath when swimming or bicykling ... and of course not to be over weight ...but a couple of kilos ... well I like to look good naked ... but to hear about 3 - 6 years old girls scared to be too " fat " ... really scares me !!

Yes I was a teenager when Twiggy came on the scene and it made me to not eat cream and other fatty things for years .. so well, it is easy to get an eating disorder , and even easier today with all photoshopped models .. the truth is you should feel proud and accepting of your unique body !!!

A perfect body does not solve all your problems !!

Sometimes a bag of chips is really needed ...even if it is only for the function & relaxing of your mind !

Have been 2 weeks to my big love ... Gotland , during Christmas , got some new air and energy in me , much needed and also good for the year ahead , which probably will be my last year to work professionaly with food ... my new goal will most likely be to do healthy/foodie work shops with friends ... we talk about that later !!

I am very keen on dips & spreads , why .. because they can make the most humble plate the most fantastic plate !

Here are 3 easy and tasty recipes , they are all for 6 p.

Green Pea Mashup

Mix

250g peas

100g cream cheese

1 tbsp lemon juice

S & P

you can add some horseradish if you want.

Potato Dip

Mix together

400g boiled potatoes

100g melted butter

2 tbsp sliced fresh sage

S & P

Bean spread

Mix

400g boiled white beans

1 minced garlic slice

juice from half a lemon

1/2 dl olive oil

add 1 dl grated parmesana cheese and some salt

you can dust some pepper on top before serving.

Red cabbage is one of my favourites for build up salad .

Healthy pizza ....lots of calcium in parmesan cheese ... xxx

Put some fresh herbs on your salad , veggie plate or avocado sandwich , the healthiest ones are turmeric , peppercorns , oregano , mustard seeds and cinnamon .. looks nice also !

What will be on top according wellness and health in 2018 .....

The new " thing " is healthy selfishness , must say that I like that a lot suits me perfect !!

So am back on the mainland again .. have started to work a little .. and every day feels lighter .. my daughter is back from some weeks in Greece with family and friends ...

My ears and my whole body are soaking in, the tunes from Threnody Goldmund Peaceful piano music and I have a big cup of lovely Ginger/Lime tea beside me !!
