Fiber-Ized Life ..

Gut health , Probiotic , Hadza , Flexitarianism .. you hear it lately everywhere ... eat with your brain or mindful eating is a way to improve your eating habits - slow down your eating and enjoy the food , fast eating has been linked to weight gain & the way we eat and our relationship with food is the most important part when dealing with food issues .

Make cooking, big quality time , and remember that food tastes better when it looks good !!

Staying fit as a chef has its challenges ...

I took a look at the " Alkaline Diet " it is interesting because it is dealing with the bodys PH , and how you can neutralize it , and that might get you clear skin , increased energy and improved digestion ... would you like to try it , then your shopping list should include a lot of greens like asparagus , kale , mint , basil , avocado , tomato , lemon , lentils , beans , coconutoil , herbal tea and a lot of water .....and be sure to avoid processed foods , fried foods , sugar , most dairy products and carbohydrates ....

As we are approaching autumn .... you might feel like there are new things to try out... and others to let go , maybe to clear out things , start a new hobby , see new places in your own country... & take good care of your self which really should be the first on your list .. take time to wake up slowly , stretch and breath slowly , take even more time for your personal care.. take some good lovely time to apply your oils , creams and serums , me personally love to do the wash up ... yes .. because I nearly get into a meditative state ..you can in a zen way notice the warm water , inhale the scent of the soap , it feels like all the stress goes away together with the dish water ......thats why I dont have a dish washer in my home ...

Feels like the last days of summer ....fall is coming soon !

Autumn time is also roasted veggie time ...

Many people have problems how to roast them perfect , well you should really take time to be sure that they are completely dry after washing them , just a little , little drop causes a steam and you will not get the wonderful crunchy result !!

I feel like a " Super Salad " , lets have a last one ..before starting the soup and stew season !

Throw together

Kale , cucumbers , quinoa ( cooked ) , roasted almonds , beetroots , avocado , raisins , oranges , now make a vinegraitte of your choice & drizzle it over your salad , you can top the salad with a piece of chicken , some cheese , boiled eggs or salmon for more protein !

Buy organic

Buy whole wheat bread

Stay away from MSG , found in nearly all readymade sauces and dressings ....

Stay away from GMOs

Seems like there are a lot of decisions to make all the time ... it is a messy , spectacular , bone-deep existence ... and we just have to learn what food is processed and not , you might be surprised that a " healthy " energy bar in fact are processed ... and that a gluten free bread are full of weird additives , much more than a French baguette ...the thing is that keeping you away from processed foods .. the only way will be to spend much more time in the kitchen ... cooking with real fresh produce ...and in fact thats quite lovely ..oh the smell and sound from the pots .... meditative quality time !!

A wonderful , quick and easy meal is this ..

In a pan toss together quickly , haricot vertes , asparagus in a little oil , sprinkle with S & P , add a generous amount of parmesana cheese and top it all with a loose boiled egg ... and chopped parsley ... divine !!

In order to fully live our lifes , we should think about death ....like the ancient Greeks , who used to " practise death every day " , the constant reminder ensured they would live more boldly and more kindly ....

Time to make time to live the lifes we want .. do not wait to do the things , you have had in mind for a long time .... do them !!

Little me have started slowly to sort out my move back to Gotland .. first of all in my mind , there are some things to look into , to put on small shelfes in my brain .. some work is no 1 on the list .. because I am far to energetic to just sit , then because I want to downsize .. what to keep and what to get rid off .. thats my project at the moment , in order to do what I want !!

September my favourite month .. virgo time .. berry time , time to make roasted tomatoes & much more !

I came upon an article about pain ... though I am now nearly painless ...thank god , the subject interests me .. they now think that swearing might reduce pain .. so go on ...xxx

Finally the day has come to go to Stockholm , in order to see my daughters father & my X , Vasssilis perform at the Greek Cultural House tonight ...it will really be nice to watch and to have a bite & a chat after .
