Blue blues !

Back on my greek island , where I used to live ...and me and one of my best friends Ing-marie went here for small vacations even before that , every year in May and September ..got to know so many people here during the years , some are still coming , 30 years later , so Ing-marie did drag me along this time all the way from Sweden ,. where I was at my other island Gotland visiting friends , and I was thinking ..why not after all .. we havent been spending free time here together for such a long time .....out here in the cyclades every thing is blue ....it is very relaxing to rest your eyes on ..

it is getting on towards the end of the season here , places are starting to close , friends have left for the vinter months in Athens ,or other countries ..

I am at the moment sitting in the harbour eaating a " mostra " it is the Myconian version of the Cretan " dakos " ... one big piece of greek dry bread , baximadi ,which are dipped in water and sprinkled with olive oil , then you smear " kopanisti " the local myconian cheese , in other parts of greece they use feta cheese , then tomatoes either in slices or finely cut in small pieces and decorated with olives, capers and parsley on top ...delicious I love it ....ah dont forget the oregano !

blue sea , blue doors , blue sky .....so many blue things ...

well part from that , I did put myself on some light kind of detox ...the first days , eating only boiled greens , beetroots , hoummous and feta cheese , fruit and greek yoghurt , eggs and coffe of course ....me and my coffe big love !

the 3 pillars to keep yourself healthy are ,

diet

no stress

detoxification

it is also a good idea not to be overfed and undernourished ....well yes the sad truth is that a lot of people , are over eating the completely wrong things ....

too many calories can lead to a lot of diseases ....

so better focuse on whole foods ..they will keep you full longer ..

dates are so overlooked , which is such a pity , they will give you a lot of good benefits ..rich in magnesium ,selenium , they support good bone health , they even might reduce seasonal allergies ...I do say look them up , and pop some in your lovely mouth daily ...

am still in the harbour while writing this post , testing an ovenbaked feta and sipping some green tea ...

so many things to look at cats , people and blue boats ....really relaxing , no stress ...

what can I say , just to inhale the salty air from the sea ....

big time , vitamin injection for the winter , just to keep the scenery in my mind is enough ...!!

sorry , but the ovenbaked fetacheese was not as good as mine ....

lets do some exercise ,

why

because it boosts ...

brainpower , it melts away stress , gives you energy and much more and of course it will let you eat more ...ahh , all this lovely food to cook and eat ..

Happy as long as I am not Hungry !!!

while writing this post I have been sitting in the harbour at Myconos .. enjoying to talk to some old friends , gazing out at sea , all the white and blue in front of me ...
