Opening a restaurant in Greece !

We found the place we wanted , since I needed to have living quarters in the same building, because Irida was only 6 years old , and I didnt want to rely on nannies,. so one of the oldest houses on Aegina , neoclassical 2 storey building , was going to be a small restaurant , the 1st of February 2005 the work started , the house had not been lived in for many years and it was practically in peaces,..Vasilis started upstairs and slowly, slowly we got a lovely place to live and work in , the old rooms downstairs got such a lovely charm , and I got myself the kitchen I wanted , we even made place for a charcoal grill ,where a lot of nice meals have been done !!

So after a spring full of work and decoration inside and outside the day came , to open up our little place which now even had a name GRAMMA , it came from the greek word for letter , because we where situated next to the postoffice , we had invited everybody ,..and finally the day came , my friend Barbara from Myconos came to help , she had to run out and make a price check , because we had not had the time to do that , menus in the last minute , but we had a lot of food and drinks ,..we opened up with a big party the 3rd of June 2005 and everybody came ....

now started 9 funny years , with live music, theater, lovely guests , real good food , catering, childrens parties, book club, poetry nights, bazars, different groups had their meetings in our fantastic house and a lot more ,..we sold the place to some Cretan boys one year ago and me and our daughter moved to Sweden for her to study and me am working as a chef sometimes ,..Vasilis is happy in Athens , and he can concentrate only at his work as an actor and director !!
